MetShield resists high temperatures (up to 240°) and prevents water penetration from melting ice and wind-driven rain.
MetShield Water and Ice Protection is a 40 mil rubberized asphalt sheet membrane underlayment specifically designed for high temperature applications typically found under standing seam metal roof installation. MetShield provides dual barrier protection. The composite membrane consists of rubberized asphalt laminated to an impermeable high tensile strength polyethylene film. It will prevent water penetration from wind-driven rain and water back-up caused by ice or debris. MetShield performs so well that it is required under many metal roof warranted systems.
MetShield Primer is a single component, water-based primer designed to aid in the adhesion of MetShield Waterproofing Membranes. It performs especially well setting the dust on concrete and block surfaces before the application of the membrane. It may be sprayed or rolled onto the surface. Normal dry time is approximately 30 minutes depending on job site conditions. Membrane must be applied within 24 hrs. or surface must be re-primed.
